Our OMP 18.ZS/3 and 18.PS/3 models, in addition to their reliable diameter measuring and inductive material testing functions, offer an advanced optical feature for scanning the coin markings. Used together with a new micro-controller this makes the coin processing faster than before. This combination of measuring systems allows the coin validator to reliably differentiate between correct and incorrect coins and imitations.
A BDTA and MDB combination machine, the coin validator lends itself to a wide range of uses, for example, ticket or goods vending machines, or coin-operated gambling machines, whether stationary or mobile and whether for inside or outside use.
The OMP comprises a coin inlet hopper integrated into the frame, which holds, centres and turns the coins in front of the optical sensor. At the same time the surface of the coin is scanned in the infrared range. The micro-controller compares the readings with stored coin data, such as diameter, material and also coin markings, ensuring reliable differentiation between correct and foreign coinage. An integrated flash-memory allows software updates to be loaded easily.
